Green Giraffe Advisory awarded Financial Adviser of the Year for second consecutive year

22 May 2026

Green Giraffe Advisory was named Financial Adviser of the Year for the second year running at last night’s Tamarindo Wind Investment Awards.

Widely regarded as a benchmark for excellence, these awards highlight the most impactful deals across the sector, assessed by an international panel of industry practitioners. Receiving this recognition from our peers is deeply meaningful, particularly as we celebrate this win for the second consecutive year.

The renewable energy landscape has faced turbulent times and complex market conditions over the last few years. This award validates our approach and demonstrates that independent, experience-based advice, an entrepreneurial spirit, and a dedication to innovative financing solutions can deliver outsized impact and help realise low-cost energy, reducing reliance on fossil fuels.

While this award focuses on wind, it reflects 15 years of dedication across diverse sectors and geographies globally. Our longevity and adaptability are what allow us to consistently support our clients through ever-changing market landscapes.

Celebrating Further Key Accolades

Beyond retaining our title as Financial Adviser of the Year, the evening brought significant additional recognition for our team’s deal-making capabilities and leadership, with the judges highlighting the depth of our impact:

  • Highly Commended – M&A Deal of the Year (Simply Blue Group): Recognising our role in a transaction that shapes the future of the sector. The judging panel noted:

Simply Blue’s sale of an 80% stake to Kepco could be a pivotal moment in floating wind as it signals rare confidence in this part of the industry. We highly commend Simply Blue for its work on the deal, and Green Giraffe’s structuring work was essential to the deal’s success.”

  • Highly Commended – Industry Leader of the Year: Awarded to our Managing Director, Barbara Zuiderwijk, for her exceptional contribution to the sector. Reflecting on her impact, the judges commented:

Barbara’s entry was fantastic. Her track record of work on 180 GW of projects and EUR 32 bn of deals shows rare strategic depth, dealmaking excellence and industry-wide influence. She is a role model in this industry for her work on high-stakes deals at landmark projects.”

Our sincere thanks go to our partners for their continued trust and collaboration. This achievement belongs to our clients and, above all, to every one of the giraffes who have driven our success from day one.

It was a fantastic evening, and we would also like to congratulate all of last night’s finalists. We are ready for whatever the future brings.
