Matthew joined Green Giraffe in 2012 and heads the new Singapore office. He helps coordinate deals, particularly now in APAC. Matthew has led transactions across a range of disciplines including sell-side and buy-side equity transactions, equity and debt raisings, strategic mandates, key project contract negotiations (e.g. wind turbines, PPAs) and has built numerous project teams

Matthew recently led our work advising PGE on the sale of 50% of their Baltica 2 & 3 projects to Ørsted and the sale of a stake in a company developing innovative technological solutions. He led both the Veja Mate and Deutsche Bucht transactions. In 2019 he was co-bid director for a consortium’s bid into the zero-subsidy offshore wind auction in the Netherlands

Matthew is currently helping a client restructure their loan for an offshore wind asset in Taiwan, helping a key client evaluate strategic options in the region and establishing our Singapore office, including securing the necessary licences

Prior to joining Green Giraffe, Matthew worked at Renewable Energy Systems (RES), a UK based global independent power producer and Garrad Hassan (now DNV-GL), a UK based technical advisor

Matthew holds an MEng in aeronautics from Imperial College in London
