Green Giraffe Advisory advised Vireo AS on raising non-recourse debt for their greenfield bio-LNG plant in Norway
Founded in 2021, Vireo specialises in developing, constructing, and operating bio-LNG production plants and is committed to becoming the leading bio-LNG producer in Norway. Green Giraffe Advisory acted as the exclusive financial advisor to Vireo in the debt raise for their Hardanger Biogas plant, a greenfield bio-LNG facility located in Husnes Industriområde on the Norwegian west coast. The plant will process approximately 120,000 tons of feedstock annually, consisting of manure, fish, and food waste, and aims to produce around 90 GWh of liquefied biomethane each year.
Lenders include ING and Sparebank 1 Sør-Norge, who will provide the senior secured facility necessary for the construction of the plant.
