Raúl Santos Chozas joins Green Giraffe Advisory’s Madrid office to drive green ambitions forward

Raúl Santos Chozas as Head of Iberia to strengthen the firm’s presence in Iberia.
Raúl brings over 15 years of experience and a proven track record in financing the energy transition. Throughout his career Raúl has participated in a wide range of transactions, including, M&A, project finance, project bonds, and acquisition finance within the infrastructure and energy sectors in Europe and the Americas.

Raúl joins Green Giraffe Advisory from Astris, where he spent three years working as Director in Madrid and leading key renewable energy transactions for the firm in Spain, Portugal and other European countries. Previously, he was at BBVA, where he spent more than three years as a Director in the Structured Finance Global Energy team in Madrid, leading the execution of significant transactions in the renewable energy sector across Europe and North America, and nine years with the concession arm of the Spanish construction group ACS, working in Canada, Australia, and Colombia. At ACS, Raúl structured and negotiated funding solutions for various infrastructure projects and was involved in strategic business development, including managing public and private sector institutional relationships and contract negotiations.
Raúl holds a bachelor’s degree in business administration from Universidad Complutense de Madrid and a master’s in international management from IE Business School.
