Green Giraffe advised InfraVia on raising a comprehensive senior debt package for their Björkvattnet project, a 175 MW onshore wind farm located in Jämtland in Sweden
Green Giraffe was mandated by InfraVia, a French infrastructure fund, as sole financial advisor to support them in raising senior debt for their Björkvattnet project, a 175 MW onshore wind farm located in Jämtland in Sweden. The wind farm will consist of 33 GE 5.3 MW-158 Cypress turbines, amongst the most powerful onshore wind turbines available. The project was initially developed by Vindparken and WindSpace, with support from GE Renewable Energy, before being sold to InfraVia. Construction works started in July 2019 and the project is expected to reach completion by the end of 2020.
The project will benefit from a corporate PPA with Google for a significant portion of its energy production with the remainder of the energy production sold to the spot market. A comprehensive senior debt package of EUR 132 M was raised in March 2020, provided by ABN AMRO, BNP Paribas and Société Générale.
