Green Giraffe supported Sunvest in the development, contracting and financing of a 13.4 MWp ground-mounted solar park project in Arnhem, the Netherlands
On 22 December 2020, Sunvest’s fourth solar park “Zonnepark Koningspleij Arnhem” was brought to financial close.
Zonnepark Koningspleij Arnhem is a 13.4 MWp solar PV project located in Arnhem, the Netherlands. The project is part of the Sunvest portfolio.
It was initiated by Sunvest (supported by shareNRG), who engaged Green Giraffe for project development, contracting and financing support.
Zonnepark Koningspleij Arnhem has a few nice ‘firsts’ for the developers. This is the first project to:
– raise funding through the platform of ZonnepanelenDelen to facilitate local financial participation
– be constructed with a major reduction in NOx emissions, with the help of, among other, electrical machinery
– cooperate with Vereniging Nederlands Cultuurlandschap (a Dutch non-profit nature-defense organisation) in respect of a biodiversity plan
– enter into a cooperation with the Arnhem-Velp Bee Association (Imkersvereniging Arnhem-Velp) to install and maintain bee hives and insect hotels for wild bees and insects on the project site.
