Elysium Nordic, an affiliate of Danish developer Windspace active in tyre recycling, mandated Green Giraffe to raise financing for a tyre recycling plant, and to arrange a long-term partnership with investors for future plants.
A first tyre recycling facility in Denmark is due to be built in 2021. The plant will process 30,000 tonnes of end of life tyres to produce recovered carbon black, oil and steel with an estimation of over 36,000 tonnes of CO2e savings annually.
Scaling up of the recycling process has been secured under an exclusivity agreement with the technology provider for future plants in Europe.
