Green Giraffe was mandated by InfraVia, a French infrastructure fund, as exclusive buy-side M&A adviser to support them on their successful bid to acquire the Björkvattnet project, a 175 MW onshore wind farm located in Jämtland in Sweden. The wind farm will consist of 33 GE 5.3 MW-158 Cypress turbines, amongst the most powerful onshore wind turbines. The project was developed by Vindparken and WindSpace, with support from GE Renewable Energy. The project has been in construction since July 2019 and is expected to be completed by the end of 2020. The project will benefit from a corporate PPA with Google for a significant portion of its energy production. The acquisition closed in August 2019.
