Strategic advisory services to Masen in the preparation of the NOOR PV I tender for 3 PV projects with a total capacity of 170 MW
Masen, the Moroccan Agency for Solar Energy, selected Green Giraffe as its exclusive financial advisor to assist in the selection process of independent power producers which will be in charge of the design, financing, construction, operation and maintenance of solar PV projects in Morocco under Masen’s NOOR PV I program. The selection process was finalised in November 2016.
- Masen is in charge of the development and implementation of the Moroccan plan for solar energy for the Kingdom of Morocco
- It aims at installing a minimum capacity of 2 GW of solar capacity by 2020
- The Noor PV I tender consists of the selection of an IPP to develop 3 PV plants with an aggregate capacity of about 170 MW
Green Giraffe acted as financial advisor to Masen, alongside the Moroccan bank Attijariwafa, until the project reached financial close in May 2017.
