Green Giraffe supported Eurazeo in the acquisition of a majority stake in Ikaros Solar
Green Giraffe acted as exclusive financial advisor to leading Paris-based private equity house Eurazeo on the acquisition of a majority stake in Ikaros Solar, a Belgian rooftop and ground-mounted solar developer and service provider active in continental Europe and the UK.
Incorporated in 2006 and backed by Capenergie 2, a fund managed by Omnes, Ikaros Solar has installed over 200 MW of solar PV assets (of which c. 160 MW have been developed in house) and maintains assets with an installed capacity close to 100 MW. The company’s management will remain in place and support its new shareholders overseeing the development of its ca. 300 MW pipeline.
Gide (legal), DNV-GL (technical), Deloitte-Taj (tax), and Marsh (insurance) advised on the buyer’s side.
